Jayson: Hello everyone.
Jim: Alright. As you know we cut to the chase on the CarbRotationDietForAbs.com podcast and we get right into the heart of the subject so Jayson we’re talking about nutrient timing today so let’s start by explaining what nutrient timing is. What is it?
Jayson: Well, nutrient timing is really making just slight changes in your diet plan that can actually increase your fat loss results and it has to do with when you’re eating certain types of nutrients, what types of nutrients you’re eating at those times. So it’s really, it’s timing your nutrient intake is really what it is, just like the word said, “Nutrient Timing”, you’re eating certain types of nutrients at certain times to take advantage of increasing your rate of fat loss.
Jim: So, just real quick for the people who are beginners, what is a nutrient? You’re talking proteins, carbs, vitamins, minerals?
Jayson: We’re talking carbs, proteins, fats. Your major macronutrients.
Jim: Gotcha. So, next topic is, we’re nutrient timing, we’re eating specific nutrients – carbs, fats, proteins, at certain times of the day and I know we want to take advantage of the thermic effect of food to help us lose weight fast. So, what is that and how do we do that?
Jayson: Well, every time that you eat food you’re body has to actually burn calories to be able to digest and utilities the calories you just ate. So that’s essentially a thermic effect of food. It costs your body a certain amount of calories every time you eat food. Well, that thermic effect goes up when you actually eat lean protein compared to when you eat carbs and fat. So, usually it’s about 4-7 calories for every 100 calories of carbs or fat that you eat is that you burn. So, you’re looking at 6/7 times the normal amount as far as calories burned when you eat the same amount of protein. So, by incorporating just lean protein at each and every meal, you’re going to be able to increase that thermic effective of food so where you actually burn more calories in the end because it’s requiring your body more calories to digest that food.
Jim: Gotcha. So, anybody who’s listening to this what you want to do is you want to go to carbrotationdietforabs.com and there Jayson has a ton of more quick weight loss tips in the form of free reports.
