Mini skirt deception responses
June 25, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
I have been flooded with emails since I wrote about the marketing deceptions that food manufacturers use to get you to buy their food. All that really happens is they make more money and you get farther away from fitting into your mini skirt or little black dress. Read a few of the responses I received and then make sure you follow the action step at the end to make sure you reach your goals of fitting into that little black dress or mini skirt.
Hello Jayson,
I get what you mean about companies and labelling/advertising. I live in Australia and have noticed recently that near the checkout counters where they invariably and strategically place tempting treats there has been a growing number of chocolate bar etc with a big sign saying:
"Only 100 calories per bar!" Now seeing this I could think gee only 100 calories, but I have to stop and convert that to kilojoules which we use in Australia, and only then I think not 100c but 420 kilojoules (and not the 100 kilojoules that I'm sure the manufacturers hope we will think!)
So is it all really about mind games or gullibility? Thanks for your time and your enlighteneing newsletters. Regards Annie.

Fantastic reply re: food labels!
I never believe what it says on the packet, i read the ingredients and try to decipher the contents.
But the best rule of thumb for anyone is keep it as simple and as low processed as possible. Simple but effective (especially if you do not know what to look out for!)
Many thanks
Karen.

Read Food Labels To Look Sexy In That Little Black Dress
June 23, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
This reader didn't like my recent video about the questionable methods food companies use to market their foods. Please give it and my response a quick read.

I disagree with your conclusion that Kraft and other food manufacturers add the note about calories to deceive consumers.
In fact, the information about calories is a way of saying, 'don't think simply about weight loss - carbs are only part of the story'.
Information about carbs in food had been requested by many consumers who are trying to cut down their carb intake and believe that knowing how many carbs are in foods will help them make wiser choices. You are jumping to the conclusion that rational and intelligent people will think the 1 carb per serving means they have a free pass to eat any amount they want. That is simply not true.
So, I find your line of thinking to be deceptive to your customers, if they believe you that manufacturers are spending all their time trying to figure out how to trick consumers into eating a poor diet.

Do the food companies want to sell more product? Yes, they do.
Do they know people are always on the lookout for Low Carb items? Yes, they do.
There are all sorts of food labels that are loaded with ingredients that will make you fat fast, but because they slip in a "NoTrans-fats!" label people tend to think it's ok for them. Why?
Because all they have been hearing about in the news is how bad Trans-fat is for them.
Yes, very intelligent people are duped every day. Sorry, but it's true. You are not to blame though. A quick example is the FCC has regulated what food companies can put in their commercials on Saturday mornings targeted to kids because the FCC felt they were manipulating with their commercials towards kids.
Food companies are in business to get you to buy more food. That is what they are in business to do and I don't fault them for that.
But I'm promoting eating right and exercise. It's not the easiest thing. People who sell garbage like Hoodia and phony fat burners KNOW how easy it is to sell crap to people because they prey on your weaknesses.
If you want the TRUTH you'll find it here. Trust me, it's a much tougher sell, but it is what I love to do. I dig for the truth and then present it to you.
Yours in health,

PS - If you're ready for a weight loss program based on SCIENCE then the Dress Size Reduction Diet program is ready for you.
PPS - Oh, and I've been a Registered Dietitian for over ten years and have worked with hundreds and hundreds of very intelligent people who were overweight. And pretty much all of them had no idea how to read a food label. These are the weaknesses that food companies are very happy to take advantage. Until now!
Mini skirts are great, but are you following the road to a fatal heart attack?
June 16, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
Just last week a very well known political news correspondent suddenly passed away from a massive heart attack.
He appeared to be in decent shape. He was a little overweight, but just recently had a check up and everything appeared normal.
He had just finished taping some voice overs and suddenly collapsed of a massive heart attack.
Now I don't know what his diet was like or if he exercised much, but it was released that he was in good health prior to this.
So you have to ask yourself could this happen to me? Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
Looking great in your mini skirt or mini dress is wonderful and all, but most importantly you want to be alive to be able to put the mini skirt on.
There are some things you can do to minimize the risk of this happening to you.
1. Get a checkup with your doctor to make sure there are no abnormal blood markers.
2. Start an exercise program if you haven't already and work on conditioning your heart and making it stronger.
3. Make sure you have a plan and follow it. This means having the correct fat loss plan to ensure that your heart stays healthy.
Now I am not trying to sound morbid or anything, but you need to do what is in your control to minimize any risk of health related problems later in life.
This means rotating your carbs in the proper way to maximize fat loss and improve health parameters quickly.
Start by following the steps laid out in the Dress Size Reduction Diet to shed the fat quickly, improve health parameters, extend your life and of course look great in that mini skirt or mini dress.
PS: See what a difference the Dress Size Reduction Diet has had on others lives.
"I just want to say Thank You for the Dress Size Reduction Diet - it is exactly what I needed! The carb reduction days are easy and I feel like I am full and really satisfied all the time.
Right now I am on day 9 and I feel soooo much better already. My belly flab is melting and I feel 'smoother'. I have already noticed my clothes feeling looser, I am easily pulling my size 8's on and can tell I will be slipping back into those 6's very soon. I can't wait to see what the entire 30 days will let me accomplish! I also want to add that I chose to upgrade to the package that included the 30 Day Meal Plan….what a Perfect Plan! It doesn't get any simpler than that!
Thanks again - this is a great plan….worth every penny!!"

Fathers Day Fitness Tip
June 10, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
As you probably know, this coming Sunday is Father's Day. And while it's the day to celebrate and honor father's, it's also a good time to make sure they're taking care of themselves so they'll be around for many more.
One of the simple things they can do to take better care of themselves is to eat more fruits and vegetables.
But who doesn't know that already, right?
Well, most everyone knows it, but hardly anyone does it.
Especially busy fathers who tell themselves they have more pressing things to do than worry about whether or not they've eaten the recommended servings of fruits and veggies.
Fortunately, some men make it a point to supplement their nutritional needs by taking a multi-vitamin each day.
That's good news, right?
Well, yes and no.
While I do applaud anyone for taking positive steps when it comes to their health and well-being, the products they are using aren't always the best.
Most synthetic vitamins you buy at the grocery store aren't exactly created with the best ingredients.
For one thing: They're synthetic. Meaning they are man made. And research has shown recently that these vitamins created in labs aren't absorbed as well as those created in nature.
And many products don't have the amounts of ingredient and nutrients in them that they claim to on the label!
But don't worry, because I have some really good news for you and all the dads out there.
My partners and I at Prograde Nutrition are holding a Father's Day Sale this week. And to make sure all the dads out there are getting the best possible nutrients from their "mutli" we are offering 10% off on our amazing Men's VGF 25+ product.
It's made from 25 whole foods. Yes, that means the nutrients are coming DIRECTLY from a combination of 25 whole vegetables, greens and fruits. There's none of that synthetic junk you'll find in the products on the grocery store shelves.
You can discover what makes this product so special by reading all about it here: VGF25+ for men
And if you make the smart move and try some for the dads in your life, here are all the details you need to know about the sale:
- 10% off Men's VGF 25+ only. But it can be single bottle, three packs or the auto ship option.
- If you choose the auto ship option the 10% off applies to the first order only
- The sale runs until 11:59pm EST this Friday, June, 13th.
- When you get to the checkout page the coupon code is:
fathersday
Again, Prograde's VGF 25+ gets my FULL recommendation. This product is simply the best.

Here are 3 quick weight loss tips for looking great in your sexy, little mini skirt
June 6, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
Many women are looking for quick weight loss tips to help them lose a dress size fast because the sexy, little mini skirt is back. I have some easy-to-follow strategies that will help you with losing weight easier than ever.
Any woman who wants to look amazing in a sexy, little mini-skirt can follow these quick weight loss tips. There are little things you can do every day to get the pounds to fall off faster.
1) Eat 5-10 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. They will help you meet your micronutrient needs for the day. And since they are a good source of fiber, they help curb your appetite and control hunger.
2) Record what you eat and drink. You will be amazed at what you consume over the course of the day without ever realizing it. Keeping a food journal is critical to your success because it gives you the true picture of what you are eating each day.
3) Avoid soft drinks, juices and other drinks loaded with sugar. These types of drink are very high in calories. A twelve ounce soda can contain 150 calories of almost all sugar.
