It Looks So Simple Yet Hurts So Bad To Lose Weight Fast

If I had to pick on exercise to lose weight fast that looks so easy yet is so challenging it would be the abdominal plank. I mean really all you have to do is hold yourself in a straight plank position. How hard can that be and you would be losing weight fast?

toned.
PPS- If you liked todays article, feel free to fwd this email on to any of your friends, family, or co-workers that would enjoy it.
What did you do for your workout today?
I just had to write this before I got off this high I am on. You see here in the Midwest we have had some strange whether this winter.
Heck, just the other day it was 32 degrees and snow flurries. Isn't this the middle of April?
Anyways, I am looking forward to some warmer weather and getting outside.
Today was a great day. It was sunny warmer and it energized me for a great workout.
On my drive to the gym I decided to follow one of Alwyn Cosgrove's Afterburn Workouts to get a really good workout in.
Then when I was done and driving home I didn't want to go back inside so I stopped at a park by my house, which has a hill and ran some sprints and plyometrics.
I am sure I will feel it tommorrow, but it felt great.
Did you know you can get a natural high from working out because of the endorphins that you release when working out.
It kept me in a great mood and I was proud of what I was able to do.
Now, you may wonder why I didn't run for 2 miles around the park.
The answer is I hate slow boring cardio. I have always hated it even though I was good at the distance events in high school I hated doing them.
So I ran sprints in high school even though I wasn't very fast or competitive in that event I did it anyways because it entertained me.
Little did I know that I was doing the same workouts that the experts now preach to burn fat fast.
Little did I know that I was molding my metabolism to burn fast all day long and to keep me thin.
No wonder I could eat like a horse and never gain any fat.
The moral of the story is this:
If you want to feel great and release all those endorphins as well as burn fat to show off that lean muscular physique then high intensity interval training is the key to your success.
If you want to learn more about Alwyn's Afterburn workouts and the workout I did check it out here.
The research is more conclusive every day in regards to interval training and fat loss so don't delay. Now that it should be getting warm in all parts of the country get out to your local park and run some sprints. It doesn't matter if you are overweight and can't run much.
If all you could do is run 20ft and then walk 50ft and then run 20ft this would be interval training and better than just walking. Start slow and take it one workout at a time. Before you know it you will be working out hard in the gym and outside all the time looking thinner and thinner.
Yours in health!

I'm not just a Registered Dietitian. I've also been a certified fitness professional for over ten years. And as you probably already know by now, exercise and proper nutrition go hand in hand. I realize you might not like it very much. But it's true. There are a lot of things that add up to looking better naked. None bigger than the combination of the CORRECT form of exercise and eating habits.
As I've written before, if you don't want to know the truth then this newsletter is simply not for you. If you want to continue to be lied to and manipulated by food companies and 'miracle solution' marketers, well, be my guest. I can only lead you to the water, I can't make you drink. Sorry, I had to write that because typically when I start talking about exercise people start to cringe.
Ok, now that's out of the way, let's look at the VERY bright side of exercise.
1- It creates that muscular/tight and tone look every woman is after
2- You'll sleep so much better
3- It can improve your sex life dramatically
4- It provides endless energy
5- Your self-esteem will soar
And the list goes on and on and on. Seriously.
Your attitude towards exercise is the only thing holding you back. If you look at the incredible benefits of fitness you start to change your outlook towards exercise. Why dread something that is so incredibly valuable to your body? Besides helping you look great naked it also, as I'm sure you're aware, delivers a ton of health benefits.
Don't forget as part of my Dress Size Reduction Diet program you also get numerous FR.EE bonuses on fitness. One of which is my friend Donna Krech's "The Secret To Never Ending Motivation." I know you'll find it an invaluable tool on your quest to look great in your bathing suit this season.
I know you can do it.

The Secret of Fast Easy Weight Loss

I was reading an article on MSN Health and Fitness today and it reminded me of this group of women that would come into the gym all the time.
The title of the article is called "So Long, Muffin Top" and this is why it pertains to this group of women.
Every morning around 9:30 a group of women would come walking in after dropping their kids off at school. Before they got to the gym though many would stop at the local Starbucks down the road and get themselves a muffin and/or a latte or other high calorie coffee drink.
Well, lets assume it was just a muffin. They probably consumed around 400 of primarily simple sugars without much protein or fiber if any.
So they then come over to the gym and start to do their workout.
Yet, their workout consisted of talking next to each other on the elliptical machine for a while or reading the paper while exercising.
I don't know about you, but I do know that to effectively workout you need to be working hard enough so that you can't carry on a 20 minute conversation or comfortably read the paper.
Especially if you consumed 400-800 calories from Starbucks 20 minutes earlier.
Whether or not you stop at Starbucks or another local coffee shop on the way to the gym here is what you need to do to ensure that you burn the maximum amount of calories for fast easy weight loss.
Complete 3 circuits of 4 exercises each resting only long enough to get to the next exercise in that circuit. Once a circuit of 4 exercises is complete rest 60 seconds and repeat for 2 more circuits. Then move to the next circuit and repeat.
You can do this with cardio as well and instead of changing machines go from a sprint effort to a moderate pace on whatever you may be using. Repeat this for up to 20 minutes.
You work out like this and you will be burning mega calories and have [tag]fast easy weight loss[/tag].
Oh yeh don't eat high calorie muffins or drink mega calorie coffees before your workout either. :) It will only make you have to work that much harder to lose the fat.

An Easy Way to Burn Calories During the Holidays

Have you ever heard of a [tag]pedometer[/tag]?
If you haven't it is this little pager like device that you clip to the waistline of your pants or shorts and it records the number of steps you take.
Knowing that we will be eating more throughout this next month we need to make sure we counteract the extra calories with extra activity and exercise.
An easy way to increase activity is just by walking. On average most individuals only take around 2000 steps a day. We suggest for moderate activity you should be taking 10,000 steps a day.
Studies have been conducted that showed when using a pedometer to measure steps that someones physical activity increased by 26.9% or an additional 2,183 steps a day. This is significant when it comes to fat loss and burning calories.
So after your big feast tommorrow instead of sitting on the couch for 5 hours go out and get a walk in with your family or friends. If you don't have a pedometer just walk for 30 minutes. It will do wonders in burning off any extra calories you consumed for the day and that way you don't have to feel guilty about it.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

How Important is Interval Training For Losing Weight and Fat Loss?
November 6, 2007 by admin · Leave a Comment
by Jayson Hunter RD, CSCS
There has been a lot of talk in the last year or so regarding what type of exercise you should be doing to maximize your fat loss. There are also studies showing that a certain form of exercise may be superior to other types of exercise.
First before we begin lets establish your baseline. If you have not exercised before or you are very out of shape then you need to build a base level of conditioning. To do this I recommend you start taking walks and every time you walk try to walk faster than the time before. Or if you have a treadmill or bike, etc you can follow the same plan. Every time you exercise attempt to work hard than you did the time before.
Once you have worked on your conditioning for lets say 2-3x a week for 3 weeks then you should be ready for a more intense form of conditioning that will accelerate your [tag]fat loss[/tag].
This more intense form of conditioning is called [tag]interval training[/tag]. There has been a good amount of research done that shows interval training is superior to static level cardio based on calories burned and ultimately fat lost.
So what is this "interval training?"
Interval training can be completed with cardio exercises or strength training exercises. Strength training intervals is becoming very popular because we are finding that you can burn additional calories for hours and hours after you complete your workout.
Here is a sample strength training interval.
Pushups
Lunges
1-Arm Row
Squat and Press
Instead of completing these 4 exercises by themselves and resting 2 minutes between sets you need to combine these 4 exercises into 1 circuit.
So you will complete 1 set of pushups for 8-10 reps and then with minimal rest move to lunges for 1 set of 8-10 reps each leg, then again with minimal rest complete 1 set of 1-arm rows for 8-10 reps. Finally complete the circuit with a squat and press for 8-10 reps.
That is one circuit. You just completed these 4 exercises in the amount of time it would have taken to complete 2 sets of normal pushups with your 2 minute rest. The benefit to completing this in a circuit type fashion is because you have not only improved your strength, but you increased your volume and intensity. You are now burning more calories in the same time it would have taken to complete your 2 sets of pushups.
Now when you complete this circuit 2-3 times and you are done with your workout in 30 minutes you will have worked harder than if you completed straight sets of the same 4 exercises which would have taken probably 45 minutes to complete.
So you are saving time with this type of workout and getting more bang for your buck, but the bigger benefit is that training this way can keep your metabolism elevated for up to 39 hours after your workout. That's right 39 hours after your workout you could be burning extra calories.
This is the beauty of strength training using intervals rather than working out with straight sets and lots of rest. Of course I have discussed the benefit of increasing your metabolism and burning fat so we won't go into that again here. If you want a lean body it is essential to ramp up your metabolism and burn more calories.
Strength training does this with a minimal amount of time and with the biggest benefit when compared to other forms of burning calories. Just think of completing 3 workouts a week that keeps your metabolism elevated for up to 39 hours each time. You essentially could have your [tag]metabolism[/tag] running faster 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Who wouldn't want that?
If you are not strength training using intervals then start with the sample workout above and also check out a colleagues website. He has developed a system of strength training called Turbulence training that is designed to burn the maximum amount of fat in the least amount time. Make sure you check out Turbulence Training and see how he has laid out everything regarding strength training you need to be succesful with exercise and fat loss. The kicker is you can do it under 30 minutes per workout.
Top 5 Foods To Fuel Your Workout For Women

Your workout is very important to your fat loss sucess. What you put in your mouth prior to that workout is just as important. If you choose the wrong foods you could be wasting all that effort you put in at the gym.
Stock your cupboards with these 5 foods to ensure you perform at your absolute best. Be sure to include at least one or more of these foods on days you workout.
1. Berries
Have a variety of blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries on hand because they are an excellent source of [tag]anti-oxidants[/tag]. Anti-oxidants protect your muscles from free radical damage that can be caused by exercise. Free radical damage has been linked to some forms of cancer.
2. Low Fat Cottage Cheese
Not only is this a great lean protein choice to help you lose weight fast, but it also provides calcium. The protein is essential to repair the micro tears caused by working out. This means you will come back stronger and better for your next workout, which equals progress.
3. Almonds
Almonds contain protein and healthy fats. We know the protein helps to repair your muscles, but the healthy fats also help to provide energy to your muscles so that you can perform at your best. Not to mention the heart health benefits and the fiber they provide.
Did you know?
A 2003 study printed in the International Journal of Obesity found that adding a daily portion of almonds to a low-calorie diet improved weight loss, as well as significantly improved risk factors associated with heart disease, when compared to a low-fat, low-calorie diet. The researchers stated the almonds’ heart-healthy monounsaturated fat as being very satiating, helping satisfy the appetite and prevent patients from overeating.
4. Salmon
Excellent protein source and is full of [tag]Omega 3 fats[/tag], which may help burn fat and prevent the storage of fat. The research is still new, but early studies are showing that Omega 3 fats may help speed up your metabolism and prevent some pre-fat cells from turning into permanent fat cells.
5. Yogurt
Yogurt is a nice balance of protein and carbs. It will help provide energy for your workout and also provide the nutrients to repair those muscles after your workout. Yet keep you feeling light and not bogged down with a full stomach.
These foods are great on any day because they are full of nutrients, but especially consider them on your workout days if you want to lose weight FAST!
