So much weight loss information and I still can't lose weight fast

There is a lot of weight loss information everywhere you look. So much in fact that most people get overwhelmed with it all. Your goal is to lose weight fast, but it seems like there is no fast weight loss. Just frustration.
Financial Crisis and a Nutrition Bailout Plan
October 23, 2008 by Jayson Hunter · Leave a Comment
**** Last Day for Five Week Fat Loss signups***
It closes at midnight tonight. Get in before it is too late.
——————————————————–
I know everyone is freaking out with this battered economy right now and no one wants to spend money or they are afraid that they will lose all their money.
Now of course I am no financial expert here, but I will give you my gut feeling. We will come out of this just fine. We always do. Don't panic and just take a look at your expenditures to see if you are haphazardly spending money or if you are spending money on things that are effective or essential.
I have 3 ways for you to save a little money and maybe allow yourself to spend the extra money on something you want or desire. Here is my nutrition bailout plan to get you a few extra dollars in your pocket.
1 - Choose seasonal fruits to save on costs with your grocery bill. Out of season fruits can add a good chunk to your food bill.
2 - Buy in bulk and freeze what you don't need. This is easy to do with meats. When you buy 10 chicken breasts you can lower your cost per pound of chicken. Just freeze the rest of the chicken you won't be eating in the next few days and then thaw what you need for at the next meal where you
need chicken. Same idea works for beef and hamburger.
3 - Pay attention to sales. Many times you can find healthy food on sale if you just watch the circulars.
If you follow these 3 tips you will have some extra spending money in your pocket to be able to buy things you want instead of need.
I know you can do it!

Fructose vs High Fructose Corn syrup controversy continues
October 22, 2008 by Jayson Hunter · Leave a Comment
The Fructose and High Fructose Corn Syrup generated some good comments and questions, which I knew it would because of its controversial nature and all the conflicting research that is out about these two nutrients.
It reminded me to reinforce something that I try to teach everyone, but it is sometimes hard to do because of all the mass media stories that for some reason seem to be believed before something I say or any other health professional for that matter.
When you hear about these studies that say fructose causes weight gain or high fructose corn syrup has fructose in its formula they are many times unique studies on just one nutrient by itself or it was researched in a specific environment.
Generally neither of these forms of studies actually relate to how we live and eat on a day to day basis.
Let me give you an example that most will be able to relate to since the mass media has portrayed this for years.
Most people believe that sugar when eaten contributes to weight gain and fat storage because it elevates your blood sugars too high, which means you are more likely to store calories as fat.
This is true and if you eat only sugar or sugar only type products and too much of it then this result can happen.
What you don't see in the mass media is that when you eat sugar combined with protein, fat, and fiber your bodies blood sugar levels do not elevate as high. As a result you are not likely to be promoting fat storage.
For many people we eat a combination of nutrients that I list in the sentence above. There are of course exceptions and some people do eat only high glycemic carbs with no other nutrients. These are the people that I educate on why they need to eat their lean protein, fruit, veges, etc so that they have a combination of nutrients.
Though for those that say you shouldn't eat carbs or don't eat foods that contain any amounts of sugar are mis-informed. They are taking the normal mass media information and thinking that this one study applies to everything food related. When in actuality the study was on someone just consuming that one nutrient.
Again, we don't generally consume just sugar or carbs by themselves. We consume protein, fat and fiber as well so our blood sugar response is dramatically different than what many of these studies discuss.
It is important to pay attention to the latest research because it does give us things to think about and maybe monitor to see if there is more research that supports these studies. Most importantly though does this information in the study actually apply to our normal daily eating habits or does it apply to only a laboratory setting.
So the next time you hear about a study saying "such and such" ask yourself if there are other studies that support this study and does the study look at normal daily eating patterns. Or is it more of a single laboratory environment.
I know you can do it!

The difference between the Dress Size Reduction Diet and the Five Week Fat Loss program
October 20, 2008 by Jayson Hunter · Leave a Comment
I received this question yesterday and I thought I would answer it for everyone in case you have the same question.
"Hi Jayson
I hope you can clarify something up for me, I am interested in purchasing your e-book however I see you are offering a 5 week coaching programme. I am unsure as to which one to go for? or do you need to purchase both? I realize that your 5 week course is more hands on but do they both offer the same information? or is the one more comprehensive than the other?"
Thanks
Kind regards
Claire
The programs contain similar content in regards to the principles of weight loss. The Five Week Fat Loss Program gives you more instruction week by week. I have laid it out so that you focus on certain parts each week.
The http://Dress-Size-Reduction-Diet.com ebook provides all the information and then you have to apply it to your life. For some people this is more difficult than for others. You may be the type of person that is a self starter and can pick up new information and apply it easily to your life. The ebook is fine for you if this type of person is you.

Mindless eating: Why can't I lose weight?
October 15, 2008 by Jayson Hunter · Leave a Comment
A study recently released shows that when overweight diners eat at a chinese buffet restaurant they serve themselves differently and eat differently.
A Cornell University Food and Brand Lab study found that overweight participants sat 16 feet closer to the buffet, faced the buffet, used larger plates, used forks instead of chopsticks and served themselves immediately instead of browsing the buffet first.
Fatty foods can curb your hunger and help you lose weight fast
October 14, 2008 by Jayson Hunter · Leave a Comment
You have always heard that fatty foods are not the healthiest choice for you and that is still true. Though we have talked about healthy fats and their benefits.
Now some studies are showing that unsaturated fats found in olive oil, avocados, nuts, etc can play a role in telling your body to stop eating.
