Bringing Sexy Back
March 30, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
As a guy, I feel a little uncomfortable writing this to a group of women.
But since I have helped hundreds of females with their fitness and nutrition programs I feel more than qualified to tell you this:
There is no food on the planet that tastes as good as it FEELS to be lean and sexy.
I'm sure you've heard the saying before: "A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips."
Well, it's not entirely true.
BUT…
The women I've helped get their sexy bodies back can tell you the same thing:
No amount of food, no matter how delicious, is going to make you feel good about yourself.
What IS going to make you feel great - and sexy - is the feeling of pride when you look in the mirror and see a lean, healthy body staring back at you.
And I'm not trying to be superficial at all.
I'm talking about health.
I'm talking about self esteem.
I'm talking about confidence.
I'm talking about inner-strength.
I'm talking about self-love.
I want nothing less for my wife and daughter.
And I want the same for YOU.
I know you can do it!
Yours in health,

PS - Women just like you are bringing their sexy back.
"Hey Jayson,
In just 20 days I've dropped 6 pounds, my clothes are fitting a lot better, and there is a noticeable difference in the mirror! I can feel that my metabolism is speeding up and working like it used to.
Best of all, I am not counting calories. I am really glad that I bought your recommended meals and snacks, because that was a wonderful kick-start and made it a lot easier to get going with the program than it would have been if I had to figure it out on my own. Thank you so much for making this wonderful program available!"

The Deadliest Vitamins

If you haven't realized it yet the mainstream media is one of the worst places you can go to get accurate information when it comes to nutrition.
The mainstream media is known for taking a sliver of information from a study and twisting it like a pretzel.
They do things like take a study done with elderly overweight mice that had kidney disease and present it as if you take this supplement you are at a higher risk for cancer.
What?
How does that even relate?
The sad thing is I am not exaggerating with that scenario. I see it all the time where the media will take a small bit of information, or even one line from a research study, and present it as valid and credible across the board for all people; young or old, men or women.
This leaves you more confused than ever.
Here is an example:
There was a study conducted by researchers at the University of Washington that states that vitamins C, E and folate offer no protection against lung cancer.
The problem with this study is that the results were based on a survey of 77,721 Western Washington men and women. A survey is a subjective form of information gathering and hardly an objectionable way to prove something valid since everyone's opinions can vary greatly without any concrete data.
Some other questions to ask:
Was this study truly random, or was it primarily female participants?
What was the health status of these participants?
Do they have diseases or other illnesses?
What type of Vitamin E were they using for this study?
I could go on and on with questions that would break apart this story.
Yet mainstream media presents it as you shouldn't take Vitamin E supplements because it increases your risk of lung cancer.
That is not what the study says. It says it offers no protection against lung cancer.
What I can tell you is the facts as we know them right now.
Vitamins and minerals are safe to take when consumed in normal doses. You don't need to mega dose with any one supplement, but depending on certain health issues it may be smart to increase the dosage of certain supplements above the standard RDA levels.
We also know that natural vitamins and minerals are more readily absorbed and utilized by the body than the common synthetic forms. Many of the vitamins today are of the synthetic form.
When choosing a multivitamin look for ones that are made from natural sources like fruits and vegetables.
I recommend the Whole Foods based 'VGF25+' from http://professionalgradenutrition.com/vgf.
In other words, it is made from actual vegetables, fruits and greens.
It is NOT a synthetic vitamin created by some mad scientist in a lab somewhere. These are EXACTLY the kind most people buy from their grocery store aisle.
Something else I can tell you is that according to the Journal of American Medicine, everyone should be taking a good multi-vitamin.
Where does that leave you?

PS: Here's what one of the top Nutrition PhD candidates in the country thinks about Whole Foods based vitamins.
"I've been taking the VGF+ (1-2 tabs) each day. To be completely honest – I think that Prograde makes the best multivitamin in the country. Seriously. I'm very critical about vitamin and mineral supplementation because the data on synthetic vitamins is very mixed (and some bad). But because they use all whole food sources and not synthetics those concerns are out the window. "

Does Tea Really Help With Fat Loss? Or Is It "Wu-Tea Scam"?
March 28, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
I read this from a fellow colleague of mine and felt it was so important that am sending it on to you. Tea is always in the media with the story that it is the next greatest weight loss product. Mike does a good job explaining one of those misleading ads. Please read below and learn that you can't believe everything you read in the media.
I'm sure you've seen tons of really clever ads all over the internet for all of these "Wu-tea" products claiming to be the miracle cure to fat loss.
I must admit, there's some savvy marketing behind these sites… they even claim things like "as seen on oprah" and try to claim all sorts of celebrity endorsements.
Here's the deal…
Most of these new tea products on the internet claiming to be a miracle cure for [tag]fat loss[/tag] are nothing but plain old oolong tea. Some brands may have other teas mixed in too, but most I've seen are just oolong tea.
The "Wu" in their names is just their clever way of making you think this is some new secret tea discovery.
Basically they just sell you oolong tea for outrageous prices, when you can go to your local grocery store or health food store and get a whole box of oolong tea for about $2 bucks.
But beyond the outrageously marked up price, does oolong tea actually help with fat loss?
Well, the answer is… slightly.
If you've read my Truth about Abs manual, then you know that I do recommend including a mixture of green tea, white tea, oolong tea, and black tea in your daily schedule to possibly help a slight bit with fat loss.
The fact of it is that drinking tea is not going to miraculously transform your body or "melt off bodyfat". It CAN have a slight thermogenic effect and possibly help you burn a few extra calories. Plus, there are tons of other benefits too, many of which are due to the high antioxidant content of teas.
However, let's get real… whether you drink tea or not isn't one of those major factors in how fast you're going to burn off body fat… it's just a very minor detail. The real factors are your lifestyle as a whole, your type of exercise program and intensity, the quality of your diet, and your mindset… all of which we focus on regularly in this newsletter and in my Truth about Abs program.
So what I'd recommend is…
Don't waste your money on the overpriced, overhyped Wu-teas that claim to be a miracle fat loss cure. I do recommend including white, green, black, and oolong teas in your diet for their numerous health benefits, but you can get them MUCH cheaper (sometimes at least 10x cheaper!) at your local grocery store instead.
One last thing for today…
If you don't already have a copy of my world-famous Truth about Abs program, Please check it out. You will never look at weight loss conditioning the same way ever again and best of all you will see results from all that hard work. Here's the details…

I hope you enjoyed Mike's topic today. Tea may possibly help with burning fat, but the research is still relatively new and time will tell if it is proven to be an effective weight loss aid.

Bathing Suit Season Strategies #14
March 27, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
I was doing a little grocery shopping the other day when I got the idea for Bathing Suit Season Strategy #14.
When I was in the checkout lane I noticed all candy bars and sugary snacks to my right. It always gets me to chuckle.
They know exactly where to put the "impulse" items. It might not be a large transaction, but when you get enough people day after day to add a 75 cent candy bar to their total, well, that's big bucks.
And when you consider all these little "impulse" buys you may have made over the course of the years…
I'm not talking about the money.
I'm talking about the calories from fat and sugar you have consumed just from adding a little 75 cent purchase to your grocery bill.
But now you're aware of it. Don't let "them" prey on your impulses.
That's why you need a plan.
My Dress Size Reduction Diet program gives you that plan. AND it helps you drop up to 15 lbs in just 30 days.
Why not spend the money you used to spend on candy bars and chips on something that will help you look better naked for a lifetime?
I know you can do it!

I'm going to make today's strategy super quick.
Stay Conscious.
Have you ever found yourself mindlessly eating an entire bag of potato chips just because they were sitting in front of you?
Have you ever nibbled on a few things while preparing a meal?
Have you ever eaten everything on your plate even though you weren't hungry anymore?
All of these calories count. And they all add up.
Stay conscious of what you are putting into your mouth at all times. Simple, but VERY powerful!
I know you can do it!

Is This Girl Following The Dress Size Reduction Diet?
March 26, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
Easter was of course last weekend and many may have splurged on too many chocolate bunnies or an extra helping of potatoes.
My daughter was also celebrating one of her two birthday parties. She turns 1 year old today and we celebrated with family last weekend and combined it with Easter.
As you can see from the picture she isn't following my nutritional advice, though she seems happy.

That is Ok.
We are all going to have days or occasions where we just aren't able to stick to our eating plan or maybe we splurge a little and enjoy some of the frowned upon foods.
As long as you wake up the next day and don't beat yourself up over it you will be fine. Just remember that you need to take it one day at a time and there will be good days and bad days. As long as you have more good days then bad days you will be successful.
By the way we didn't let her eat all that cake. Not for the reason that it is unhealthy, but for the simple fact that neither of us wanted to clean up vomit in the middle of the night after she ate all that sugar.
She is now back on track with her baby food green beans, sweet potatoes and bits and pieces from our meals. Yumm!!!!

PS: I received this from a female customer today and thought I would share it with you.
"My clothes are fitting a lot better, and there is a noticeable difference in the mirror. It took me a bit to get the hang of eating smaller portions 6 times per day. At first, I was eating too much at breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Days 1 & 2 of the 3-day rotation, but I've got it down, now. I eat a lot more food than I was eating before, am really satisfied all day, and I didn't even pig out on chocolate over the Easter weekend, which has to be the first time I have ever turned it down in my entire life! I ate 4 Easter chocolates, yesterday, after supper (and figured I'd ruined any chance I had at losing anything that day). It was Day 3 of the 3-day rotation, and I lost .9 lbs by this morning!
I can feel that my [tag]metabolism[/tag] is speeding up and working like it used to. Best of all, I am not counting calories. I roughly measure portions using little 1/4 c, 1/2 c, and 1 c containers that I have and am finding it really simple. I am really glad that I bought your recommended meals and snacks, because that was a wonderful kick-start and made it a lot easier to get going with the program than it would have been if I had to figure it out on my own. Thank you so much for making this wonderful program available!!!! I'm looking forward to reaching my goal.
Enjoy the day!"

One day during her personal training session a client aked me, "Why aren't I getting better results? I'm working out hard, but I don't seem to be losing any weight."
"How many glasses of wine did you have at that cocktail party Saturday night?", I responded.
She moaned back, "Oh, no, but I can't give up my wine!"
I have no idea if YOU enjoy a couple of cocktails, beer or wine. And I'm certainly not judgining you.
But I can tell you that if you want your body to "sacrifice" those extra pounds you're going to need to sacrifice some things, too.
As always, I'm not here to tell you what you want to hear. I'm here to tell you the truth. And consuming too much alcohol is not only a great way to PACK on the pounds, but it also prevents you from dropping them, too.
It's simple, if you want to look great in a bathing suit you're going to have to severely limit your alcohol intake.
But remember, when your lean and sexy you not only look great, you FEEL great.
I know you can do it!

So how did you do this past weekend?
Were you able to behave yourself?
Or did you stuff yourself instead?
Hey, it's Monday, so I know you're busy. That's why I'll keep today's message very brief.
Guilt isn't good for you. It's not going to help you get ready for Bathing Suit Season. Guilt is a form of stress. And stress is NOT good for your figure.
And the hormones that are correlated with stress actually increase your appetite for sugary snacks and fatty foods.
So if you've got the "guiltys" make sure you forgive yourself and move on.
Here is your remedy:
Get some exercise. Take a walk after lunch. Clear your head.
You can also pick up a copy of my Dress Size Reduction Diet program and really jump start your fat loss this week.
NOW is the time to start living the Triple-E Formula:
Eat right, exercise, educate yourself.
I know you can do it.

So it gets to be late in the afternoon and all of a sudden it hits.
You've got a craving.
You're desperate for something loaded with fat and sugar and calories.
Sure the stuff tastes good, but you don't understand why you find the urge almost irresistible.
Off to the vending machine you go to get a candy bar. Maybe even a couple of them.
Not good. Not good at all.
That's why Bathing Suit Season Strategy #9 is BE PREPARED.
You know the times of day you get cravings. So make sure you have some healthy stuff around to eat.
1. Nuts are good for you again. Almonds contain healthy omega fats and are a great snack to fill you up. They provide a good source of protein as well. A handful should satisfy you. 2. Yogurt is another great snack to have on hand. It is low calorie and also provides a good source of protein.
3 - If you enjoy nutritional bars a great choice is Prograde Cravers. They are Certified Organic, but they taste like a candy bar.
They've got good quality fiber to control your insulin levels so your body keeps burning fat after you eat them.
I know you can do it!

PS - You can't find Prograde Cravers in stores anywhere. Yes, they are a little more expensive than other bars. But again, these are Certified Organic and made with natural ingredients. And the good stuff always costs a little more, right? Be good to yourself and try a box. I like the peanut butter the best.

I received this email from one of my http://GetRidOfMyGutDiet.com customers yesterday. It fits in perfectly with Bathing Suit Season Strategy #9 so I thought I would share it with you.
(Ladies, the Get Rid of My Gut Diet is basically the Dress Size Reduction Diet but for men)
"Hi Jayson,
The first 2 weeks of my dieting and training went very well. I lost 3 KGs (6.6lbs) and reduced my body size by a total of 27cm (10.6")!! I have a long, long way to go but its a good start.
I have a question for you. Why is it good to do cardio training before breakfast and not after in the evening?"
- Mark Dyer
JH: Mark, first off, congratulations on your success! I know it's going to inspire my readers to do the same.
To answer your question, there isn’t that big of a difference in regards to when you do your cardio. Everyone thought if you did cardio on an empty stomach after not eating all night that you would burn more fat calories.
But…
The latest research I have been reading shows it isn’t the AMOUNT of cardio, but the TYPE of cardio that you do. High intensity interval cardio research is finding is far superior for FAT BURNING than static cardio.
So sprinting for 30 seconds and jogging for 1 minute and then repeating this for 20-30 minutes is more effective than just running at a steady pace for 30 minutes.
Bathing Suit Season Strategy #8 is to STOP your leisurely cardio session and START turning up the intensity. I hear all the time from women just like YOU about the amazing body transformation they have seen when they started turbo charging their workouts. Fat melts off their body at a rapid pace as soon as they give up those long-duration cardio sessions and start incorporating high intensity intervals.
I know you can do it!
Jayson Hunter, RD, CSCS
PS - Mark dropped 6.6 lbs and 10.6 total inches in just two weeks! My program works for men and women. The Dress Size Reduction Diet is 100% guaranteed so you have nothing to lose - expect those extra pounds and inches!
