Fat Burning Salad Recipe That Packs a Punch!

I was talking with my accountant yesterday and she had mentioned that had gone to my blog and pulled off my Grilled Chicken and Bean Salad Recipe a few weeks ago and loved it. 

 

I asked what she liked about it and she mentioned that it was filling and tasted great without useless calories. 

 

She then proceeded to mention that last week she gave it to a few guys and girls in her Spinning class because she liked it so much.  On Monday one of the guys thanked her again for the recipe and has made it 3 times already because he likes it so much.

 

So I wanted to make sure that you got the recipe as well and hopefully you will enjoy it just as much.  It really packs a punch in regards to burning fat as you will see below.

 

Here are the ingredients:

1 can (16oz) whole green beans, drained
1 can (15oz) garbanzo beans, drained
1 can (15oz) kidney beans, drained
2 grilled chicken breast, chopped
1 can (12oz) whole-kernel corn, drained
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 cup fat-free French dressing

 

Cook and chop the chicken and then mix the beans, corn, onion, and chicken together.  Pour in the 1 cup of fat-free French Dressing and you are finished.  You now have an excellent meal that is portable and can be eaten cold or hot.  It tastes great both ways. 

 

You might be wondering why this is a great fat loss meal.  It is because you are eating a good amount of protein which provides fullness and has a high Thermic Effect Factor.  A high Thermic Effect means that it requires more calories to used for digestion than other nutrients such as carbs and fat. 

 

So your net calorie intake is lower.  This meal also provides a great source of [tag]fiber[/tag] which again provides satiey and fullness as well as slow down the digestion process so your insulin levels stay controlled.  Controlling your insulin level is key to fat loss.

Do You Want To Burn Fat on Super Bowl Sunday?

How do I lose fat when I am supposed to eat 5-6 times a day?

I attempt to consume the reccomended calorie levels based on my current activity levels, however the food seems to be too much for me to eat.

Is there a diet that will help me eat 5-6 small meals a day after 30 days?
 
It will depend on how bad you have starved and deprived your body of regular meals.  If you are one that only eats 1-2x a day then it does take the body a little bit to get used to the frequency of feedings.  What I usually recommend is add one extra meal a day for 3 days and then add another meals for 3 days.  Keep doing this until you are eating 4-6x a day.  Eating frequently is a major objective in getting your metabolism to speed up so working up to 5-6 meals a day is very important. 

Don't get overwhelmed with trying to conquer the world in one day.  Take it one day at a time and before you know it the weight will be flying off.

The key to any healthy weight loss program is to eat frequently and to follow key objectives for fast easy weight loss.

Calorie restrictions seems to be the only way for me to lose weight fast

Below is a common question I get asked from fitness professionals. 

I have a client who is struggling to lose additional pounds, the only experience this person has had involved 1-2 years of a 1200 calorie diet. In the past this has been the only way the can they have seen results. Can they realistically work the plan for 30 days and lose 10-15 pounds?
 
Yes, they can and the reason is because even if it works out that they should be eating 1200 calories a day to lose belly fat or to be successful with a [tag]quick weight loss diet[/tag] they will be eating those calories over the course of 4-6 meals and including lean protein at each of those meals along with a fibrous vegetable. 

Calories aren't the only thing you should be looking at when trying to lose weight.  You also need to consume the correct amount of protein, the correct type of carbs and in certain quantities as well as how frequent you are feeding yourself.

I got this great tip the other day from Kelly a reader of this blog.

For those 'addicted' to the sugary supermarket yogurts that taste great, but derail your rapid weight loss diet try this little trick.

Add a teaspoon of any flavor Crystal Lite to plain yogurt.  It creates the same flavor or you can also add fresh fruit to the yogurt (this is what I do).

Yogurt is a great fat loss food because it is a good source of protein and is low in calories.  The protein will help speed up your metabolism and promote calorie burning instead of fat storage.

Why Commercials Make You Fat!

Last night, my wife Lianne and I were watching some TV.

A commercial came on with two women complaining about how much they hate dieting.
One was going on and on about how she hadn't eaten in hours.

The other was eating one of those ridiculous Rice Cakes.

I could go on and on about how much these commercials make my blood boil.

Why?

Because they are making you FAT. That's why.

How?

Because they give you the impression you have to STARVE yourself to lose fat.
And nothing could be further from the truth.

Fat Monsters Are Lurking in Your Bathroom

It's the most evil part of anyone's home.

For the most part, you can find one in any bathroom.
What is it?

It's the dreaded scale you use to weigh yourself with every day.

I know it's evil because I have clients complain to me all the time

Who the heck cares?

Can You Eat Fast Food and Shed Pounds?

Besides getting asked about drinking alcohol, the other big question I get is:

"What about fast food? Can I eat it and still watch the pounds melt away?"

It kinda cracks me up because people know the answer to a question like that already, but they are dying to have an expert like me tell them different.

I can tell by the look on their face they're hoping and praying I'm going to say, 'Sure, eat as many Triple Cheeseburgers as you want. It's all a big lie. Those things are actually very low calorie and barely have any fat in them at all."

Yes, there are healthy choices you can find at fast food joints when you have to eat at one. Not every meal you eat is going to be perfect.
